Pupils from our science department taking part in a research study investigating exercise physiology in children
born with congenital heart disease.
This was in collaboration with the Cardiac Unit of the Bristol Royal Hospital for Children, led by Dr Guido Pietes,
and the Children's Heart and Exercise Research Centre at the University of Exeter, one of the best of its kind in
the world led by Professor Craig Williams.
This research will form the basis of future work on heart functions during exercise in healthy children and teenagers
and will also provide information regarding pupil exercise tolerance.
